BIPOC Scholarship Programme
Basecamp Stands for BIPOC Leadership in the Yoga Community
Basecamp Power Yoga stands for BIPOC leadership in the yoga community, and we’re taking responsibility in helping to end systemic racism. We are committed to building a studio and virtual spaces that are inclusive, diverse, and celebratory for all. We acknowledge the under-representation of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour in our community, in the greater yoga world, and the impact this has had on all of us. We are committed to moving into a new possibility of community and leadership together.
Our mission at Basecamp Power Yoga is to help people discover their uniqueness and embrace who they truly are so they can contribute to the greater good in the world. For us to fulfil this mission, we must make yoga accessible and representative of BIPOC communities so that everyone can benefit from the healing and transformative power of yoga.
One place we are taking immediate action is with our Path to Power 200 Hour Teacher Training Programme. To support our mission and facilitate change, Basecamp is offering BIPOC scholarships to anyone who self-identifies as Black, Indigenous, or as a Person of Colour.
We would love for you to join us if you share our commitment and feel that this could be a powerful opportunity for you to make the difference you want to make in the yoga community and the world.
